New paper from LOMBOK PhD student Nick Deere on the conservation value of high carbon forests for tropical mammals

New paper from our PhD students Nick Deere and Lonnie Baking, University of Kent and Universiti of Malaysia Sabah, finds that protecting ‘high carbon’ rainforest also protects endangered wildlife. Nick’s used is hard-earned camera trap images from months of work hiking around the SAFE project and combined this with high-resolution satellite imagery to show that areas designated for protection under carbon policies were also rich in endangered mammals.Read more here and the the full paper here.
